Cookie Policy

Last Updated: 28 April 2025

This Cookie Policy explains how Rivermark uses cookies and similar technologies on {{DOMAIN}}. It describes what cookies are, which ones we use, and how you can manage your preferences. Reading this page takes about two minutes and gives you straightforward control over your experience on our site.

1. What Are Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit. The file is stored by your browser and sent back to the site on subsequent visits. Cookies allow websites to remember certain information — whether you have accepted a notice, how you navigated the site, or your display preferences.

Cookies do not run code and cannot carry viruses. They are not capable of accessing other files on your device. They are simply a way for a site and a browser to exchange a small piece of information across visits.

Some cookies are set by the site you are visiting (first-party cookies); others are set by services embedded in the site, such as analytics tools or maps (third-party cookies). We distinguish these in the sections below.

2. Cookies We Use

We use four categories of cookies. Their purposes, typical durations, and examples are described below.

Always Active

Essential Cookies

These cookies are required for the site to function. They manage your session, remember your cookie consent decision, and enable basic security features. Without them, parts of the site would not work as intended. They cannot be disabled.

  • Cookie consent preference (localStorage: cookieConsent)
  • Session state and navigation continuity
  • Security and fraud-prevention signals

Optional

Analytics Cookies

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the site — which pages are visited most often, how long visitors spend on each section, and where people arrive from. This information is collected in aggregate and does not identify individuals. We use it to improve our content and site structure.

  • Page view tracking (e.g. Google Analytics)
  • Session duration and navigation path
  • Referral source (search, direct, or link)

Optional

Marketing Cookies

Marketing cookies allow third-party advertising platforms to show you content related to Rivermark on other sites you visit. They may also be used to measure how often a particular advertisement is shown and to avoid showing the same one repeatedly. These cookies are placed by advertising networks we may use.

  • Ad personalisation signals (e.g. Google Ads)
  • Frequency capping and reach measurement
  • Conversion attribution

Optional

Preference Cookies

These cookies remember choices you have made — such as display settings or region — so you do not need to make them again on your next visit. They improve your experience by personalising certain aspects of the site to your previous selections.

  • Language or region setting
  • Display or layout preferences
  • Previously dismissed notices

3. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on this site are placed by third-party services we have embedded. These providers have their own privacy and cookie policies, which govern the data they collect. The third parties currently associated with our site include:

We do not share your personal contact details with these services. The data exchanged is limited to behavioural and session signals used for the purposes described above.

4. Cookie Duration

Cookies have two broad lifespans:

The cookieConsent value we store in localStorage persists until you clear your browser storage or update your preferences using the controls on this page.

5. Your Cookie Preferences

You can adjust your preferences using the toggles above, or use the quick actions below. Changes take effect immediately and are saved to your browser. Essential cookies remain active regardless of your selection, as the site depends on them to function.

Preferences saved.

Your selection is stored locally in your browser. No data is sent to our servers for this purpose.

6. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

You can also manage cookies directly in your browser. The steps below explain how to access cookie settings in the most commonly used browsers. Note that clearing or blocking cookies may affect how parts of this site work.

  2. Select Settings, then Privacy and security.
  3. Click Cookies and other site data.
  4. Choose your preferred setting: Allow all, Block third-party, or Block all cookies.
  5. To delete existing cookies, click See all site data and permissions and remove entries as needed.

  4. To manage individual cookies, scroll to Cookies and Site Data and click Manage Data.
  5. You can search for specific sites and remove their cookies individually.
  1. Open Safari and go to Safari in the menu bar, then Settings (or Preferences).
  2. Click the Privacy tab.
  3. Tick Block all cookies or Prevent cross-site tracking as appropriate.
  4. To remove stored cookies, click Manage Website Data, search for sites, and remove them.
  5. On iOS: go to Settings → Safari → Advanced → Website Data to manage cookies.
  1. Open Edge and click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
  2. Select Settings, then Cookies and site permissions.
  3. Click Cookies and site data to configure your preferences.
  4. To delete existing cookies, click See all cookies and site data and remove as needed.
  5. You can also add exceptions for sites you trust or block.

Mobile browsers: On mobile devices, cookie settings are usually found in the browser's main Settings menu under Privacy or Advanced. The steps are similar to those described above. Some mobile browsers offer simplified controls; refer to your browser's help documentation for specifics.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to withdraw consent to optional cookies at any time. You can do this using the controls on this page, or by clearing cookies through your browser settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing that took place before the withdrawal.

Disabling certain optional cookies — particularly analytics cookies — will not prevent you from accessing the content on our site. Your experience should remain substantially the same. Disabling all cookies, including essential ones, may cause some features to work incorrectly.

If you have questions about our use of cookies or wish to understand more about the data held about you, you are welcome to contact us:
